Another advantage of using VFD is its ability to increase the life of the equipment, as it provides a smooth start and stop of the motor, which significantly reduces maintenance costs. For compressors with frequency drive, special motors are used - with electrically insulated rotor bearings, and the possibility of their operation above the standard frequency of 50 Hz, energy saving standard IE3 / IE4, additionally saving 7% of electricity.
